I have mixed feelings toward rompers: I find them super comfortable and fashionable so I keep splurging on them all year long, but I utterly dislike having to strip down to use the bathroom, especially if I have a cardigan on. But today's outfit features a romper with a beautiful oriental floral print that I got from Free People. Not only was the print perfect, the fabric was super soft and light and I was immediately hooked: even the thoughts of making all those discomforting bathroom trips could not stop me from purchasing these.
It is actually a strapless romper with a V-neck and a deep crisscross back, but I tend to wear these with a cardigan or a short jacket to give it a more layered look. This romper looks fantastic with ankle boots, but also with lace-up sandals during the warmer seasons. Because it is a V-neck, I wrapped around an ombre scarf to keep myself from tightening my neck from the frigid fall breeze (by the way, next week we're getting another round of polar vortex in Chicago, and things are going to get ugly here). Anyhow, I layered it with a deep khaki colored cardigan and finished the look with a small green clutch and a camel fedora hat. This outfit definitely gives off that modern boho vibe, and is perfect for the fall--too bad winter is lurking just around the corner, ready to suck the sunlight out of the sky.
