I was pleasantly surprised to find that today is actually Monday--honestly I still have a sink full of dishes and a whole book and half to finish. Time sure flies when you have tons of errands to run and are feeling overwhelmed. These things truly bothered me back in the days when I was feeling insecure about my very own existence, but things changed when I found myself surrounded by people who loved me unconditionally for who I am, regardless of all the mess in my kitchen or my endless days of procrastination.
I hate to admit, but I think this was probably the last time my friend and I were a little fun at the rooftop, as it is closed for the winter and my friend who has access to this place is now leaving Chicago--but I am so glad that these photos came out looking amazing, especially with the weather being surprisingly quite sunny and pleasant (well not anymore but still).
On this day, I wore a simple grey long-sleeve top with a pair of distressed jeans from Zara. I put on a coat by Isabel Marant that has such a beautiful texture and just wraps your body so comfortably. To add some color and detail to my rather simple outfit, I wrapped myself in a beautifully warm plaid scarf, and finished the whole look with black ankle lace-up combat boots and vintage Prada bags. The Chicago skyline never gets old, and I hope you all enjoy the view.
