Journey to the Horizon

I tend to think of myself as a city girl who feels at home when she sees all those skyscrapers covering up the blue/grey sky. But recently I found myself a bit more comfortable in the open spaces that gives the feeling of being lost in the desert. In terms of my life and where I am headed, I quite frankly am very much lost and confused and perhaps that is why. On this day I have found this open spot that made me feel quite hopeless and serene at the same time. Can't say I hate it, but don't love it either. Talk about having mixed feelings.

Anyhow, given the grey, cloudy, and cold dreary weather, I couldn't help but feel like I was dressed up as a witch. Perhaps its the hair, perhaps its the hat. Maybe its the weather. Probably all that combined.

Now to my outfit: I am a shortie, so anything that is mid-calf maxi pretty much works better on me than a regular maxi so here's one from Free People that never fails to keep me from dancing. I have on a black cardigan, a black floppy hat, a black suede fringe bag, and a pair of black ankle boots-- knowing that my hair will add whatever color that is missing from this outfit.

The last three photos were taken prior to going purple/lavender with my hair (I kind of regret not taking any more photos, as my boyfriend seems to like the blonde more than the purple-head girl). On that very day, I wore knee-high boots which work so perfectly with this dress as well!

Will it ever be spring again?

XOXO, HaeMin

  10. I'm with you on the hair, I actually think you look fabulous with the purpley hair and I like it much better than the blonde! I was a city girl when I was younger, think 19 until 30 and then I got seriously sick of it. The fast pace lifestyle, the bars, the restaurants got boring after awhile. I think it's just me getting older and my taste changed but now I'm really happy living in a small town and hopefully one day we can move to the countryside.
