There's something about Free People dresses that just make my heart skip a beat. If I could I would just purchase the entire collection and live a life as a gypsy. It has got to be something about the fit of their dresses and those amazing lace and floral prints that seems to get me go all ooh la la!
I was shopping at Nordstrom rack some days back and usually the one in downtown Chicago has a selection of Free People that makes me cringe each time so I literally had zero expectation when I came across this retro print swing tunic dress! I could not help but do a little happy dance, and oh goodies it was even more perfect when I tried it on. I would call this a tunic more than a dress because it is quite short in the front, but I am short and that's all good. It is a deep v-neck with a keyhole opening which is absolutely beautiful. The thing I love the most about this dress is that it cinches in a bit on the top part of your arms, making your arms look slimmer.
This was a rather chilly day, so I paired it with an oversized cardigan that is so comfortable like a robe, wore black shorts underneath, and tights. I also put on socks that match the color of the florals on the dress. I am also wearing a vintage Mulberry bag that my dear sis Jin gave me, and the color is such a perfect match to this outfit.
During spring, I am thinking about pairing this dress with a lace slip dress or some kind of a lace tank underneath to give this a more boho feel to it. For this very day it was all about layering and keeping me warm in this spring dress.
