How to Style Knee High Lace Up Gladiator Sandals

I have always been in love with gladiator style sandals, and few summers back when I was so terribly hooked on these I wore them to the point that my feet looked as though I had my gladiator sandals on because of those crazy tan lines. Gladiator sandals not only give off the perfect boho vibe but is also versatile enough for any casual or chic outfit. Today I just wanted to share on my blog the various ways in which one can style a pair of gladiator sandals, especially none other than this year's favorite knee high lace up gladiators (I just can't get enough!!!)

Outfit #1
Gladiator sandals that can either be wrapped around the ankle or around the thigh are perfect because they can give of different dimension to the same outfit. This outfit #1 features such lace up sandal that is versatile, sexy, and boho all at the same time. Add a bit of tassel and fringe, and you can create an effortless boho look to any top and a denim.

Outfit #2
Now on to some hard core knee high lace up gladiators. Again, any top and a denim combination works flawlessly with these kinds of gladiators, but just to add a bit more boho vibe I have included an ethnic patterned poncho (a tasseled cardigan or a kimono would also be perfect). And there's nothing I love more than matching the color of my shoes to that of my bag! I am really eyeing these pair of Free People's Bellflower sandals--aren't these just so gorgeous?! Such intricate details, and I cannot take my eyes off them.

Outfit #3
Here's a very simple way to styling a pair of gladiator sandals--however crazy or simple the design is: wear a maxi dress. A maxi dress with a particular slit on the side would be even better as the hint of your favorite pair of gladiator sandals underneath that very dress would surely be eye-catching to those who witness it.Gladiator-Sandals-Maxi-Dress

Outfit #4
As some of you might know by now,  I am addicted to rompers. Aside from using the ladies room, I find nothing more comfortable than rompers. This has got to be my favorite way of wearing any gladiator sandals, and it surely applies for those than are knee high and lace up. When the prints on my dress/rompers are bold and very intricate, I tend to go simple on the shoes. But when the prints are minimum or the lace is not so overwhelming, I love wearing sandals like the one in Outfit #1 to add more dimension to the outfit.

Outfit #5
So far, all of these outfits have been very bohemian than chic. Nude or brown shoes tend to go well with almost all outfits, but it is also my preference to style things more boho than not with those colors. This outfit #5 is bit more chic and sexy than previous four outfits, and it features this black lace up sandal that I fell in love at first sight! This will give any outfit the extra edgy vibe, and even give the slimming effect around the thighs.

XOXO, HaeMin

  1. I love them all, thanks for such great tips! Personally, if I really had to choose one outfit, I would go with the last one, because it's a bit more urban and more similar to what I usually wear:)

  3. I don't own a pair even though I think they are super stylish, I have yet to try a pair on. You styled them beautifully. My favorite look is number one because I would totally by them with a heel!
