Few months back I posted an outlook with this floral swing dress from Free People that I absolutely love (see here). The truth is, I have been planning for spring/summer outfits since early February even with the full knowledge that spring tends to be a little late to arrive in Chicago. However by the time it was March, I've had enough of snow for my life and decided to layer this very tunic for a photoshoot, and hence the previous post. However, that outfit wasn't exactly as I had planned as the weather was not so forgiving back then--but now that we are enjoying a wonderful summer breeze here in Chicago I decided to wear it just the way I like it!
This time around, lose the leggings, those boots, and the coat! I am wearing a slip with lace trim details underneath the tunic to wear it as a dress as it tends to be slightly shorter in the front. I then put on my fringe sandals and a black suede bucket bag just to not overdo the look. I love how the fabric of the tunic and the lace trimmings feel around my body against the wind, and the way these sleeves cinch my arm and my wrists for that beautiful, yet ever so slight balloon-look.
What I would give to move to a warmer city where I can enjoy the sun all day every day! A friend suggested that I move to Hawaii as she can totally see me beaming and enjoying the life there instead of all coiled up on my bed, and I can't help but agree with her. Perhaps one day, sooner or later.
