Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II Review

As a graduate student, my sleeping cycle often gets really messed up and what do I get in return? Dark circles and terribly dry and dull skin. My roommate who also had an awful sleeping pattern like mine always had a glowing youthful skin. I asked what it is that she used, and she directed me to Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II. She told me that this is the one and only product responsible for her awesome skin, and I was sold.

The 50ml serum costs $92, making this the most expensive skincare product I own. This is far from being the cheapest serum in the market so I always wait for the best gift-with-purchase deals before splurging on these. The last time I got this, Nordstrom had a deal where I could receive a full-sized Nutritious 2-in-1 Foam cleanser ($30) as a gift with my order and a bunch of different samples. At that time, I was actually planning on purchasing Shiseido cleansing foam which costs around $35 anyway so it was an awesome deal for me.

Overall, this serum is no miracle worker, but it does make my skin look more radiant and smooth. I honestly cannot say if it smoothes out any fine lines forever and ever, but I can surely say that this serum, along with many other skincare products from Estee Lauder, is so great for my ultra sensitive skin--it has got to be the most gentle skincare product that I have ever used.

Because of my terrible acnes, I often put on my retinoid cream that effectively helps control my acne but at the same time makes my skin peel and burn like it's nobody's business. Sometimes putting on foundation can be a total eye-watering experience, and the burning sensation usually lasts for ten seconds after each time I slap on whatever skincare product I dare use and the pain can sometimes even give me headaches.  However, Estee Lauder's serum, moiturizer, toner, and eye cream are the only products that I can put on my face during those super sensitive periods. I literally do not feel any tingling or burning sensation with these, ever.

Therefore when my skin is breaking out and I find myself reaching for my acne cream, Estee Lauder is the only brand I can turn to to tone and moisturize my skin. I'm not sure if that has to do with something that is IN it that isn't in many other brands'  skincare products or if it has to do with something that is NOT in here. Whatever the case may be, I am so grateful for Estee Lauder's products for that very reason.

  1. Oh wow, this product sounds amazing. I suffer from sensitive skin as well, and I fear trying out new products because of the possible side effects. Glad this worked out for you!
By the way, I nominated you for the Liebster Award because I think your blog is amazing :)
