So pretty much everyone on YouTube seems to be raving about Wet n Wild's Megaglo Highlighters, and of course I had to be that person who wasn't able to get her hands on that highligher before it sold out everywhere. But last week, Wet n Wild launched their fall collection, and in it was a bundle that included four mascaras, four liquid lipsticks, two eyeshadow trios, AND the two highlighters that I've been desperately wanting to get. The set was $28.99, but to get free shipping I ended up spending around $35 and received a ton of products from Wet n Wild. Wet n Wild's website just couldn't handle all the traffic, and it was a total war zone to purchase this set. Everything sold out within a day, but thankfully I think they restocked it because it is now back in stock on their website (click here).

If you are just buying this set for the highlighters, I do not think this is a good deal as you can spend just a bit more and get yourself Anastasia Beverly Hill's Glow Kit Highlighters. However, if you are open to try other products in this collection, which I HIGHLY recommend that you do (I'll show you how awesome these are in this blog post), then this is an awesome deal!

So let's start with these color mascaras. I tend to be very boring when it comes to mascaras and I only own black and very dark brown mascaras so this was something very new and unique to my collection. In the MOTD that you will see at the end of this blog post, I am wearing Sapphire Night Live, but as my eyelashes are already very black, these don't really show up (didn't think about that before applying these on).  Even so, I found this mascara to hold my curls quite well and it did lengthen and add some volume to my eyelashes. As for me, I think I will make more uses out of these by using them as a liquid eyeliner than as a mascara.

Now the four liquid lipsticks. I wished they added some more rosy colors as I am not a big fan of super dark lipsticks and I only need a few of those. However, these apply like a butter, are not patchy at all, and are super long lasting. Oil-based removers were the only ones that really removed these liquid lipsticks, and they are super water-proof, smudge-proof, transfer-proof, etc. Also, these do dry relatively quickly, and I really liked how they did not look to dry on my lips (I have super dry and patchy lips).

And now on to these highlighters!! The design is awesome, but the packaging, as is the case with many if not all Wet n Wild products, is bound to break. As I am not the most gentle person on earth, I am going to depot these as I would love to get the most use out of these gorgeous highlighters!

As many people have pointed out, Crown of My Canopy is a bit too dark for me to use as highlighter but I plan on using this on my lid as it is such a pretty peachy coral color (though I am not sure if this is eye-safe?). Precious Petals totally deserves all the hype it has been getting because as this swatch shows, it is such a gorgeous shade and I just want to go all crazy and apply this on my entire face.

To be honest, I was more excited about these two eyeshadow trios than the Megaglo highlighters, namely because I am always so amazed by the pigmentation of Wet n Wild's eyeshadows and these colors were just screaming my name.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trios: Plaid To The Bone, Velour Vixen

The eyelid color in the Velour Vixen and the eyelid color in the Plaid To The Bone looked very similar to the colors in the Comfort Zone palette. The one in Velour Vixen contains more purple-pink shimmer than gold, and the one in Plaid To the Bone palette is more green-based than the duochrome eyeshadow in the Comfort Zone.

Both browbone shades were amazing, especially the one in the Plaid To The Bone--I actually had to go and purchase another one of the Plaid To The Bone trio because I needed a backup for that browbone shade. It reminds me of Burberry's Pale Barley (reviewed here) and it is such an amazing all over the lid shade.

The two crease colors were not as pigmented as other colors, especially the blue crease color in the Plaid To The Bone. The blue eyeshadow was not very pigmented and was very patchy, and I had to swatch it multiple times to make it look as it does on the swatches below. Both crease colors were crazy beautiful though!

Just to make my purchase qualify for free shipping, I purchased a couple of extra products from Wet n Wild. I picked up the smoky liner brush, the crease brush, and the contour brush. These three brushes were very soft and I really liked the smoky liner brush--I need a backup for this one! I like to use the contour brush as a blush brush, and it feels very soft on my cheeks and blends very well!

I also purchased their single eyeshadows in Brulee and Nutty, as well as their blush in Berry Shimmer.

Brulee and Nutty looked similar to the browbone eyeshadows in Velour Vixen and Plaid To The Bone, but were CRAZY pigmented! Nutty has more of a purple shimmer to it which makes me like the one in the Plaid To The Bone palette more, but overall I am very impressed and love them all!

So for this makeup look, I applied the browbone shade from the Plaid To The Bone palette all over the lid, then smoked out the ends with the crease shade from the Velour Vixen palette. After drawing out a wing, I used the eyelid shade from Velour Vixen to blend out the eyeliner. Although not very visible, I also used Sapphire Night Live mascara on my lashes.
