Before you read this blog post, I think it would be best if you were to check out my previous review of Natasha Denona's Eyeshadow Palette 28 (click here) as what I am going to say about this palette duplicates with that one very much.

Natasha Dedona Eyeshadow Palette 10 retails for $95 and is now available in Sephora. I was so excited for the blue and teal colors in this palette, and my inner whore couldn't resist these metallic eyeshadows. The packaging is the same as the 28 Palette with the cushiony styrofoam vibe, and this palette lacks a good transition color, which is something that I have found to be true of her 28 palette as well. Also in terms of the wear-time, these eyeshadows lasted me about 6 hours before fading, but with primer they did last a bit longer (and that is also true for her 28 palette).

However unfortunately, I have to say that the pigmentation of this palette is equal to the 28 palette (if not slightly better). Personally, having used these two palettes I think Natasha Denona's strength is with her metallic and duochrome eyeshadows, with unique shimmers and shifts that make them more fun and exciting to use. However, I have found better matte eyeshadows and better deep brown/black eyeshadows many many times in other brands and palettes before, so if you think you have dupes for some of these colors, you probably do, and if those colors when swatched don't look very foiled or pigmented, you are probably better without it.

So here are the swatches of this Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 10 swatched left to right.

This is the top row. 06P Anthrazit was disappointing and this color's underperformance is clearly visible when compared to 07M Graphite which has superb pigmentation.

This is the bottom row. The only color that made me gasp was 25M Aura. I mean just look at that gorgeousness! I think this one in the inner corners will bring any makeup look to a next level. Maybe use it as a highlighter as well?

So here's a look I created using majority of the colors in this palette. I started with 87M Light Coral on my crease and then used 27M Slate on the lid and blended it upwards with that crease color. On the outer thirds, I applied 06P Anthrazit and blended that out with the purple color. On the inner corners I applied 56 Pearl with a hint of 25M Aura, and on the lower lashlines I applied 02M Blue Space on the outer thirds and 19M Deep Teal on the center.

For this look, I used a mixture of 19M Deep Teal and did a halo look by blending a mixture of 07M Graphite and 06P Anthrazit on the inner and outer corners. I also added a tad bit of 02M Blue Space on the inner and outer corners as well. As a result, this eye makeup looked more khaki than teal but I really liked how sultry and vibrant this looked!

I was drawn to this palette because of the blue and teal colors, so for that reason alone I was happy with this palette as I could create various variations of blue and teal eye makeup. However, if you do not think you'll use other colors, this palette is not a smart palette to invest in given its $95 price tag. I do have to say though that I am very much impressed with Natasha Denona's metallic and foiled eyeshadows, and I probably will end up investing in more of her eyeshadows (either in singles or in the 5 palette) but because these larger palettes lack a good transition shade, these will have to be one of my least travel-friendly palettes with regards to color selection.

What color in this palette did you like the most? Please share!

XOXO,

HaeMin
