My favorite blushes are from NARS and though I sometimes find NARS eyeshadows to lack pigment at times, I love them because I find NARS to have some of the most unique and undupeable eyeshadows. Most of the times I swatch something from NARS I try to convince myself that I don't need it because of course I have dupes, but upon comparing with others I come to the conclusion that nothing can compare!  Anyhow, today I wanted to share with my readers two products from NARS x Sarah Moon collection--Quai Des Brumes eyeshadow duo (shop here) and Isadora blush (shop here). Currently I am obsessed with lavender, and both products had "lavender" in the description of shades, so I obviously could not resist.

Unlike the regular packaging for NARS which is just black, the packaging in this collection has maroon & plum sides.

So on the left I have NARS eyeshadow duo in Quai Des Brumes and on the right is NARS blush in Isadora. The left side of Quai Des Brumes is described as an iridescent lavender smoke shade, and the right side is described as charcoal with gold shimmer. Isadora, although it doesn't look like so in the pan, is described as lavender pink.

The eyeshadow on the left is sort of like a duochrome but not really in that it is a gunmetal/taupey color with a lavender shimmer to it. When blended, it showed some brown undertone which is really interesting! What do I mean by that? So when I used this on my lid without any base and blended it upwards into the crease, it looked as though I picked up some light brown transition shade and blended both together. Pretty cool right?

The one of the right isn't too unique in that it is just a gray eyeshadow with golden glitters to it. The glitter doesn't really show up, so I treat this as a matte eyeshadow. Although this one is also a very cool-toned shade, when blended it showed a tint of warmth.

This is NARS blush in Isadora. I was really excited by what I saw on Sephora's website as it looked as though this blush, described as lavender pink, would have an amazing lavender shift to it. Unfortunately, to me this was just a very warm coral/pink blush with a slight, every so slight lavender shift. It also wasn't all too easy to work with because it didn't blend as nicely as some of my other NARS blushes (maybe because this blush is more pigmented and is darker), and on my light-medium NC25 skin tone and especially since I can only lightly apply this onto my cheeks, the lavender shift wasn't very noticeable. It is a very unique blush though, making it a must-have for me.

So here I have swatched Quai Des Brumes eyeshadow duo and Isadora. The actual colors are a tint cooler than this as the lighting was a bit off when I took these photos, but you get the idea. The pigmentation of the left shadow looked good when I swatched it, but on the eyes it felt a bit sheer and my eyelids seemed to just eat this up (much like many Lorac eyeshadows). As a result I did need to build it up a bit. The right eyeshadow from Quai Des Brumes palette is very pigmented and blended ever so perfectly.

Not sure if you can catch Isadora blush's lavender shift in this photo, but I think you get the idea. I think it would have been more beautiful if it was a tad bit lighter, less warm, and more pink. But that's just my preference.

For this eye makeup, I first used the left eyeshadow in the Quai Des Brumes palette and applied that all over my lids and blended it upwards into the crease and all over the lower lashlines. Afterwards I used the eyeshadow on the right near the eyeline and blended that upwards (not above my eyelids though) and also on the outer thirds of my lower lashlines.

I didn't use any transition shades for this eye makeup, but you can see in this photo how the left eyeshadow in Quai Des Brumes palette actually blends out and looks lightly brown in the crease. Also on my lips I have on another one of NARS x Sarah Moon collection, which is the Moon Matte Lipstick in Fearless Red (shop here).

That Fearless Red lipstick is looking a bit too neon in this photo but really it isn't! It is a beautiful warm red lipstick that doesn't pull too orange nor too dark. I also love the velvety finish that this lipstick gives!
